ListingMap on Daft.ie

See what's nearby on any Daft.ie listing, and keep track as you browse results, without a second tab.

Daft.ie gives a listing its own inline map, a BER rating, occasionally a virtual tour. None of that says how far the place is from your gym or your daily commute.

ListingMap adds a button that reads the same coordinates behind Daft's own map, then shows the home against your saved places or a category you tap, with a real travel time. The same Nearby and Hide buttons appear on Daft's search results too, on every card.

On a Daft.ie listing

  1. 1

The same corner, however far you scroll

ListingMap keeps a small button floating over the listing rather than fixing it to one spot on the page.

  2. 2

Saved places, or gym, supermarket, train

Open it for the home against your saved places, or tap gym, supermarket or train and see what's closest, each with a real travel time.

  3. 3

Full screen, or back to the ad

Pick "Expand ↗" for the map on its own tab, or close the panel and you're straight back on the listing.

On Daft.ie's search results

  1. 1

    Nearby on every card

Each result on a Daft.ie search gets its own Nearby button, reading the same coordinates Daft's own page loads for that listing.

  2. 2

Clear out what's not for you

Hiding a home removes it from that search and the next one too, and a panel keeps track of everything you've hidden in case you want it back.

  3. 3

    Real coordinates, not a guess

Daft's results cards carry their own map coordinates, so Nearby uses the actual location rather than a geocoded address.

A results-page card with the Nearby and Hide buttons ListingMap adds
How this works on Daft.ie. Daft.ie is one of the few portals where ListingMap reads real coordinates on both the listing page and the results cards, taken straight from Daft's own data, not geocoded. Daft doesn't currently get a floor-size chip the way Rightmove does, since that figure isn't in the same structured data Daft exposes on its cards.

Common questions

Does it work on both property-for-sale and property-for-rent searches?

Yes, and shared listings too. Nearby and Hide appear the same way on all of Daft's results pages.

Do I need to sign in to use it on Daft.ie?

No account is needed for Nearby, Hide or travel times. Signing in is purely for syncing your saved places and hidden homes across more than one device.

Will it slow down Daft.ie or change how the page looks?

No, a button and, once opened, a panel is all it adds. Daft's own layout, listings and search results stay exactly as they were.

Is the location shown as accurate as Daft's own map?

Yes. It's read from the same coordinates behind Daft's own inline map, not a separate estimate.
