What we store
When you sign in, we keep your email address and the places, lists, and properties you save. That is what lets your data follow you across devices.
What stays in your browser
The browser extension reads the coordinates already shown on a listing page and opens them in ListingMap. It does not send the listing, or your browsing, to us. Until you sign in, your lists live only in your browser.
Monthly cost estimates
On a UK rental listing on Rightmove or OnTheMarket, we show an estimate of the true monthly cost: rent plus council tax, energy and water. To work it out, our server fetches that listing's public page and looks up the postcode's council and the building's Energy Performance Certificates from the GOV.UK register, public data published by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government under the Open Government Licence. We do not store the listing, the address, or the certificates: the estimate is cached briefly in memory to keep it fast, and nothing about which homes you view is recorded.
Safety layer
For homes in London, we show recorded crime from police.uk within 1 mile of the home, over the last 12 months, ranked against 50 well-known London areas. To work it out, our server queries police.uk's public API with the home's coordinates. We do not store the coordinates or which homes you looked at.
Analytics
On our website (not the extension), we use Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics tool. It uses no cookies, does not track you across sites, and collects only aggregate stats (visits, referrers, rough region) so we can improve the app. The extension never tracks your browsing.
The extension does keep a running count of how many times you press the hide and shortlist buttons on a results page, and reports those totals the next time you open ListingMap, so we can see which features people actually use. It is counts only. Which homes you hid, their addresses, prices and links stay on your device, and the count is never sent from the property site itself.
Who we work with
A few services make the app work: Google Maps Platform for places and directions, MapTiler for map tiles, police.uk for the safety layer's crime data, Umami for cookieless website analytics, Stripe for payments, Resend for sign-in emails, and Railway for hosting. They handle data only to provide those features.
We do not sell your data
That is not our business model.
Deleting your data
Sign out anytime. To delete your account and everything saved with it, email us at the address below and we will remove it.
