# ListingMap > A free browser extension that shows what's nearby any property listing, with real travel times, lets you keep track of homes as you search right on the results page, estimates the true monthly cost, rent plus council tax, energy, water and commute, of a Rightmove or OnTheMarket rental in England, and compares recorded crime around a London home against 50 well-known areas. Works on Rightmove, Zoopla, OnTheMarket, Zillow, Realtor.com, Redfin, Realtor.ca, Idealista, Immobiliare.it, ImmobilienScout24, Funda, SeLoger, Daft.ie, realestate.com.au, Domain.com.au. ListingMap reads the location already on a property listing page (coordinates or address, whichever the site provides) and adds a button that opens a map of the home against your own saved places, or a category you tap (gym, train, bus, supermarket, school, café, park), with real travel times by car, public transport, walking and cycling. The panel that opens has four tabs: Nearby for that category search, Costs, Safety and Places. On the 8 portals with a results-page adapter (see the per-portal pages) it also adds a Nearby button and a Hide button to every card, plus floor size where the site provides it. On Rightmove and OnTheMarket rental listings in England, the Costs tab adds council tax, energy and water, plus the user's own commute and regular bills, to the rent, into one true monthly figure. Council tax is priced from the gov.uk 2026-27 table for the listing's billing authority, using the band the listing publishes or a band the user picks when it says TBC, with a 25% single-person discount available. Energy is priced at the current Ofgem price cap, from the building's own Energy Performance Certificate where one exists or Ofgem's typical consumption for that size of home otherwise. Water is the regional water company's average annual bill. Every line shows its source, and it is free, with no sign-in required. For homes in London, the Safety tab shows the last 12 months of street-level recorded crime from police.uk within 1 mile of the home, ranked against 50 well-known London areas, covering burglary, vehicle crime, violence, robbery and criminal damage. For the nearby search, travel times and hide features, nothing runs on the server: the extension only reads what's already on the page you're viewing, and saved places and hidden homes stay on the user's device unless they sign in to sync across devices. The cost estimate and the safety comparison are the exceptions: ListingMap's server fetches the public Rightmove or OnTheMarket listing page to work out the cost, or queries police.uk by coordinates to work out the safety comparison, without storing the listing, the address or the coordinates.
